2. I (Alex Schadenberg) will be speaking twice at the Human Life Alliance conference titled: Stealth Euthanasia on Saturday, June 2 in Minnesota. Link to the Registration information.*

3. To counter the false ideas and intentional confusion, EPC has produced a pamphlet titled: Protecing People. Send a donation of $25 for 100 copies (plus postage) or $100 for 500 copies (plus postage) for the pamphlet.

4. Vivre dans la Dignité in Quebec is working on a strategic plan to stop the Quebec government from implementing the recommendations of the Quebec Dying with Dignity Commission to legalize euthanasia. Our current newsletter features a significant article explaining what the Quebec Dying with Dignity report actually says.

5. The First-European Symposium on Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide is being held in Edinburgh Scotland on June 7 - 8. The Conference will feature myself and several other excellent speakers. This is a great opportunity to visit Scotland.

6. Good News: The Canadian Society of Palliative Care Physicians published a statement opposing euthanasia and assisted suicide and the chair of the New Zealand Medical Association stated that euthanasia is unethical.

7. More Good News: A new group opposing euthanasia and assisted suicide has been launched in Tasmania call Real Dignity Tas. Go to their website at: http://www.realdignitytas.com/

7. Court cases in Canada:
- The Carter case in Vancouver BC is attempting to legalize euthanasia and assisted suicide in Canada through the court. EPC and EPC - BC co-intervened in the Carter case.
- The Leblanc case is attempting to legalize assisted suicide in Canada through the court. EPC and Vivre dans la Dignite have asked to co-intervene in the Leblanc case in Quebec.
- EPC has applied for intervener standing at the Supreme Court of Canada in the Rasouli case, a case that seeks to give doctors the right to withdraw life-sustaining medical treatment without the consent. EPC intervened in the Rasouli case at the Ontario Court of Appeal when they unanimously decided that doctors need to obtain consent before withdrawing life-sustaining treatment. Recent news reports indicate that Hassan Rasouli is now reacting to others.

8. I was interviewed by Accessible Media for the show Contact. The show was broadcast on May 13 under the title: Examining both sides of the explosive issue of Euthanasia in Quebec. Link to the show.

9. EPC is organizing our national conference at the Ramada Hotel in London Ontario on Saturday, November 10. Save this date.
